Not every legal issue requires full representation, but sometimes just requires the answer to a simple question.
Getting a lawyer on the phone about your legal problem can feel impossible. The Williams Law Clinic prides itself on contacting you as soon as possible.
Wouldn't it be nice if you can just get a quick, simple answer to your legal question without the hassle?
We make consulting with a California attorney fast and convenient. All you need to do is book a consultation, pay the modest fee, and a lawyer will call you the same day.
Other firms may offer a "free" consultation, but the consultation is only to see if the lawyer can even represent you.
With the Williams Law Clinic, we will listen to your question and then provide you advice so you can advocate for yourself properly.
Getting an attorney to call you back if you have a quick legal question can be an impossible task. Most firms want a big retainer or won't even talk to you if you don't have a case.
Regardless of whether you have a case, our goal is to give you quick answers to your legal questions without the burden of traditional legal representation. The Clinic fills the gap to give legal advice because other lawyers simply won't. The problem we solve is connecting you with an attorney to answer your legal question now.
The Clinic can offer advice on many different areas* of the law such as:
1. How do I speak to an attorney?
It's simple. Go to the "Book a Consultation" link, and then choose whether you want a 15-minute, 30-minute, or 60-minute phone call. Schedule a time slot and the attorney will call you at that time.
2. How do I know if I'm speaking with an actual attorney?
We guarantee that you will only speak with a California licensed attorney.
3. Do you offer full representation?
Most legal issues people have often never require full representation. The purpose of this law clinic is to give you affordable, quick, concise, and competent advice so you can advocate for yourself.
4. Why don't I just get a free consultation?
This is for multiple reasons. First, most lawyers will never call you back. Second, most lawyers only offer free conslutations to see if they can offer full representation. Third, not every case is worth a lawyer's time, so even if you have a case, their fees would eliminate the value. Fourth, the conslutations are not to offer legal advice, direction, and suggestions, but to just interview you to get you to sign an agreement. Finally, with a free consultation, you get what you pay for.
5. Why don't I get a pro bono attorney?
Many pro bono and legal aid firms require you to meet financial thresholds. If you make too much money, they will not talk to you.
6. What if I need full representation?
We can offer recommendations on where to find an attorney if full representation is needed.
7. What must I do to prepare?
Before the call, we suggest preparing a concise description of your issue, prepare your legal question, and read the Terms of Service.
8. Does the Clinic offer any other services?
Yes. In some instances, we can prepare a legal letter for you, such as a breach of contract letter or a demand letter. Becuase there is more work involved, the fees are extra; however, they are much more reasonable than the fees many traditional lawyers charge.
